Community Workshops
Dr. Solomon’s community-based workshops and DVD are designed to educate parents and professionals about child-centered, play-based interventions:
- Workshop I: This 1-day workshop is ideal for parents and professionals who want to learn the fundamentals of autism and play-based intervention. The majority of the workshop consists of an extensive introduction to the PLAY Project as well as the DIR (Developmental, Individualized, Relationship-based) framework of Dr. Stanley Greenspan – also known as “Floortime”. Through the PLAY Skill Sequence developed by Dr. Solomon, attendees will learn play strategies, methods, and techniques for engaging young children with autism. Dozens of video case examples help participants see play in action. No prior knowledge is needed to attend.
